2013 Topps 75th Anniversary Autographs Bring the Nostalgia

2013 Topps 75th Anniversary Autographs Bring the Nostalgia

Just like the set they come from, 2013 Topps 75th Anniversary Autographs are rooted in both history and nostalgia. The checklist covers a broad spectrum of TV shows and movies from the mid-1960s up to 1991. And while it's unlikely that any of the regular cards will ever be worth a lot, the set is still a fun trip back to another era.

2013 Topps 75th Anniversary Pop Culture Autographs have a different design. Rather than being a strict reprint, the original cards are done as a photo on the top portion of the card. The signature, which is on a sticker, is underneath. The end result looks similar to a matted photo that has a signed index card underneath.

Autographs combine to fall three per box. With 22 cards in the set, none are terribly rare. Combine that with a checklist that's stronger from a nostalgia standpoint rather than superstar status and prices for singles should remain very reasonable over the long-term. The biggest names in the set are likely Roger Moore and Corey Feldman. Those aren't exactly Hollywood A-listers.

The one exception is Sylvester Stallone. He's featured on buybacks, not the main Pop Culture Autographs set.

A total of three signers are redemptions in 2013 Topps 75th Anniversary: Feldman, Russell Johnson and Van Williams.

Each Pop Culture Autograph has a regular version as well as a Rainbow Foil, and Diamond Anniversary parallel. Foil cards have print run of 150 copies each. Diamond Anniversary cards are serial numbered to 75.

  2. DAVID WHITTINGTON Buybacks are original cards that simply have a small Topps 75th foil stamp added to them. Topps 75th base cards have a different back from the originals.
