Topps Unveils World’s Largest Baseball Card
Today, Topps showed off the world's baseball card. Done in an effort to promote 2013 Topps Series 1 Baseball and the new baseball season, the card features Prince Fielder.
Measuring almost 90' by 60', the card took up most of center field at the Peterson Park ball diamond where the event was held. The park is a short distance from the Detroit Tigers' spring training facility.
Fielder was on hand at the Little League field. So too were nearly 100 youth players from Lakeland City Baseball.
"It is truly an honor and a thrill for me to be featured not only on the 2013 Topps Series 1 box, but also on the largest baseball card the world has ever seen," said Fielder via a press release. "Baseball is back."
The card is a replica of the Prince Fielder card found in 2013 Topps Series 1 Baseball. Fielder also appears on boxes and wrappers for the set.
