Remember Mike at his NBA peak with the Funko Pop Michael Jordan figures. The global legend has multiple vinyl figures in the Pop! Basketball set, including several exclusives.Hardly a stranger to the world of collectibles, Michael Jordan is arguably the most collected sports subject in history. There are the many MJ trading cards, his signature sneaker line and a variety of Michael Jordan figures. Funko adds to the selection with a few different poses.
Numbered into the larger Funko Pop NBA Basketball figure release, the style skews away from the realistic detail of other figure brands but the end result is still clearly MJ.
While the first release came early in 2019 at Foot Locker locations, the main Funko Pop Michael Jordan figure featuring his iconic "slam dunk" pose is not an exclusive version. If collectors don't already have the base #54 figure, it should be available in greater supply from multiple retailers starting in April and May 2019. Adding to the appeal, Jordan is suspended in air thanks to a plastic stand.
However, the other choices are a bit more limited and can be tougher to locate. Exclusive to Fanatics, figure #55 shows Jordan in his black alternate jersey with the Chicago Bulls. There is also figure #56, which is a rookie-year Jordan in a 1980s Bulls uniform. Fans may notice that the shoes change in each option along with the uniform.
Next came the "Bronzed" edition of his slam dunk pose. Releasing at Foot Locker locations, this Michael Jordan figure puts a bronze finish on the main #54 figure.
