2013 Topps Baseball Silver Slate Wrapper Redemption

The 2013 Topps Baseball Silver Slate wrapper redemption offers an exclusive set of parallels. Collectors who send in 50 2013 Topps Series 1 Baseball retail or hobby wrappers or 10 hobby jumbo wrappers get a pack of five cards. We have confirmed with Topps that for retail packs, all count types count as one wrapper.

Autographs are randomly inserted as well. Signers include Nolan Ryan, Ken Griffey Jr, Manny Machado, Dylan Bundy and Cal Ripken Jr.

Topps has produced a total of 10,000 Silver Slate packs. There is a ten-pack limit per household. Collectors are encouraged to bundle their wrappers together in a single package.

Wrappers must be sent to:

Silver Slate Wrapper Redemption
PO Box 2008
Duryea, PA 18642

Any packs sent before the official release day of January 30 will be disqualified from the promotion. Topps promised to offer updates on Silver Slate pack availability on Twitter. We will also do our best here. Update (2/13): Topps mentioned on Twitter today that they're starting to run low on Silver Slate wrapper redemption packs.

2013 Topps Baseball Spring Fever Redemption

Guide to 2013 Topps Series 1 Baseball Wrapper Redemption and Promotions 3When Spring Training starts in February, baseball card collectors will have the chance to head to their local hobby shops and get some exclusive cards. The 2013 Topps Baseball Spring Fever program runs from February 20-27. Random packs of 2013 Topps Series 1 Baseball have a special redemption card. Collectors who take them to a participating shop get a special pack of 2013 Topps Spring Fever cards.

Each pack has five exclusive cards not available anywhere else. Random packs also have special autograph cards.

The 2013 Topps Baseball Spring Fever redemption is similar to the 2012 Topps NFL Kickoff program that celebrated the start of the football season.

In a flyer sent to dealers, Topps did warn against selling Spring Fever packs. Several of the 2012 Topps NFL Kickoff packs as well as dozens of singles were listed on eBay ahead of its launch date. This led to Topps issuing warnings and taking action against dealers who didn't comply with the program's rules.

2013 Topps Baseball Ultimate Chase Tickets

2013 Topps Baseball fully embraces the theme of "The Chase." From inserts to hits to the pursuit of the Million Dollar Chase, it's everywhere. It expands to a second contest. Ten Ultimate Chase Tickets have been inserted in 2013 Topps Series 1 Baseball hobby boxes.

Those who pull one receive a bat autographed by five current or retired players. Topps has not yet announced names.

And while an autographed bat is nice, one Ultimate Chase Ticket holder will win an even bigger prize. They will get to follow a team throughout the postseason. Once the playoffs begin, the winner picks one of the qualifying teams. The contest victor gets a 2013 MLB Playoff Chase Pass that is good for tickets to all of their postseason games. So the longer the team lasts, the bigger the prize is.

Collectors shouldn't procrastinate in sending tickets in. Ultimate Chase Tickets expire on August 15, 2013. Qualifying tickets received by then will be entered in a random draw for the grand prize of the 2013 MLB Playoff Chase Pass. The draw is scheduled for September 1.

2013 Topps Baseball Million Dollar Chase

The Million Dollar Chase is the latest Topps code program. Code cards are randomly inserted in packs and can be purchased in various quantities on eBay by clicking here. Codes unlock a player. Everyday collectors must pick someone they think will get a hit that day. If they do, the streak continues. The first person to get a 57-game "hitting streak" wins $1 million. The promotion also has other prizes. You can get in-depth details on the Million Dollar Chase here.

jimmy ma » Hi Jimmy, Cardboard Connection is independent from Topps. Nothing has been announced with regards to a wrapper redemption for football and it looks like there won’t be one.

I see Topp’s series 1 wrapper redemption ended but what about Topp’s series 2, when dose that start and end. there is no mention about series 2. can some one let me know, because the topp’s web site changed and it was very hard to find out about the wrapper redemption and when I call i’m put on hold for over an hour and i have to hang up because after a hour on hold it tells you your the 2 caller and i’ll be less than 3 minutes then it says 10 min. but still caller # 5 then the time change to 20 min. but it still say your the 5th caller. its crazy try to talk with some one to get any kind of info.

jimmy » There was no wrapper redemption for Series 2. They still have the Silver Slate cards like Series 1 did but they were distributed through a hobby shop promotion.

Ryan Cracknell

sonny dickson » You’d have to give Topps a call or email. It was a “while supplies last” type of promotion so it is possible they may have run out before your’s made it there.

Hi Ryan
I actually found one of the 10 Ultimate Chase tickets in an extra lucky 36 pack Topps Series 1 Baseballl hobby box.
I found a story online about a collector in Colorado who pulled one from a Jumbo box.
Have you heard of any of the others being found?

Ryan Cracknell

Rudy Jaquez » Congrats! I can’t recall of hearing any others.

steve » All types of retail wrappers require 50 wrappers for a pack. The ones that require 10 are hobby packs that have 50 cards.

EMB

Hi, this is my first time to send in wrappers. Are there certain dates to follow when to send in and for how long? In other words ,when to start and end sending wrappers?

Thanks

Ryan Cracknell

Hey! For the wrapper redemption….you only need 10 jumbo? I think i remember it being 14 last year or the year before. Also, blaster box packs…are they considered retail/hobby? There are only 8 cards per pack so I don’t know if they count. Thanks!

Ryan Cracknell
Ryan Cracknell

Mike » I checked in with Topps and all types of retail wrappers qualify as 1 wrapper.

Ryan Cracknell
Ryan Cracknell

Mike » It is fewer jumbo wrappers this time around. I believe blaster packs would be considered retail, though you may want to confirm with Topps. They’re on Twitter at @toppscards. I’ll check into what qualifies for the retail packs as well.

I see this promotion to be a flop. Its too early to accurately say that but what I see so far, this is no million card giveaway or diamond giveaway. For common collectors as myself, achieving the required goals seems to be nearly impossible. We’ll see though.

Will the Spring Fever and Ultimate Chase promotions be available at Canadian hobby stores?

Thanks,

Brian

Ryan Cracknell
Ryan Cracknell

Brian » I believe all HTA shops (those with a Topps account) had the opportunity to participate, but they had to opt in. The Ultimate Chase uses pack-inserted cards.
