It's a new Star Wars movie. Of course there are going to be new trading cards. Topps confirmed at the Industry Summit in Las Vegas that they're making two sets based on Episode VII. 2015 Topps Star Wars: The Force Awakens Series 1 tackles the characters and bits of the story. The later second set follows after the movie's theatrical release, telling the entire story.
The 2015 Topps Star Wars: The Force Awakens Series 1 base set has 100 cards. There are five levels of parallels, including Lightsaber Green (1 per pack), Lightsaber Blue (1:2 packs) and Lightsaber Purple (1:4 packs), along with hobby-only Gold (#/50) and Platinum (1/). Printing Plates are also available for the base set and inserts.
The product has multiple inserts to chase. Character Stickers (18 cards) and Character Montages (8 cards) both focus on the key subjects in the movie. The First Order highlights the villains with their weapons and ships on nine cards.
Other insert options include Behind the Scenes (15 cards), Concept Art (16 cards), Locations (9 cards), Movie Scenes (16 cards) and Weapons (9 cards).
Exclusive to Special Edition Hobby hobby boxes, all base and insert cards also have a Foil parallel, numbered to 250, that drops three per box. These basic SE boxes do not include premium hits.
Autographs play a key role in the premium insert portion of 2015 Topps Star Wars: The Force Awakens Series 1. Autograph parallels are exclusive to Hobby boxes and include Lightsaber Purple (#/25), Gold (#/10) and Imperial Guard Red (1/1). Besides basic actor autographs, there are Dual and Triple Autographs. Autographed Printing Plates are also randomly inserted.
Other hits-based inserts include Sketch cards and Medallion cards that come with Bronze, Silver and Gold versions. The medallion cards are split into two groups, with eight cards in the The Resistance subset and eight more in The First Order.

I’m pretty new to Star Wars cards and have a question. I bought a basic hobby box and got two of the foil cards that are limited to 250. I was just curious as to what these are worth. I know they’re not big money cards but figured they may be worth a little more than the basic parallels. Any advice/help is appreciated. Thank you, Brad.
