2013 Topps Baseball Factory Set Rookie Variations Guide

Just when you thought all of the 2013 Topps Baseball variations were finalized, more pop up. Like baptizing a cuddly Gremlin in a bathtub, the variations list as grown by five. Only these ones shouldn't be too tough to track down. 2013 Topps Baseball retail factory sets include five exclusive Rookie Variations. The cards cover five of the most popular players to have rookie cards in 2013 Topps Series 1 and Series 2.

The five 2013 Topps Baseball Factory Set Rookie Variations come in a sealed cello pack. Each of the sets comes with all five making it easy to get them all. The checklist includes Manny Machado, Jurickson Profar, Hyun-jin Ryu, Jose Fernandez and Shelby Miller. The retail factory sets still come with the regular versions of the cards as well.

Because there are both hobby and retail versions of the 2013 Topps Baseball factory set, collectors should be careful to get the correct one. Retail sets come in a blue box. The rookie variations are noted clearly on the top of the box. Hobby factory sets come in an orange box. They have their own set of exclusive parallels.

The Rookie Variation cards look identical to the players' base cards save for a different image on the front. The most noticeable is Jurickson Profar. His variation has him in the aftermath of getting a pie in the face. This theme carried through an entire series of 2010 Topps Baseball short print variations.

Take a look at all five of the 2013 Topps Baseball Factory Set Rookie Variations below along with their base cards.
