2013 Topps Allen & Ginter Baseball Cards

Was there ever a relic card made for Chrissy Teigen? I’ve never seen it on any trade sites or eBay.

Average at best and certainly not worth the cost or the hype.

Would someone please tell me about whatever can happen with the lids of hobby boxes??

I didn’t COMPLETELY hate this product, but since I bought two hobby boxes and got little to no value from my investment, it’s hard to like. Like many others I went scrambling back a few weeks later to check the lids (the freaking lids? Are you kidding?), but I ended up with nothing. Rarity isn’t its own reward, so even the inclusion of a Frank Thomas framed printing plate and a hand-numbered mini didn’t make these boxes worthwhile. Interesting set, sure…but not $150 for two hobby boxes interesting. With that kind of price tag, there should be more bang. Rip cards are almost exclusively all there is of value on the secondary market, and at only one per case, it isn’t really worth taking the chance.

Will you be updating the Mythological Relics, One of a Kind and RIP card Red Autos checklists?

So… Busted a couple Blaster Boxes of 2013 A&G this afternoon from Wal Mart…. and to my surprised amazement I pulled a Brooks Robinson mini parallel Baseball Back numbered 13 of 25…..

I just looked on ebay to see if I could perhaps get a gauge for pricing (not going to sell as I am an Orioles fan… born in Baltimore) and you know what? That card isn’t even listed!

What an amazing product. Great players selection, incredible subsets ideas.
That has a distinct 19 th century feel that i just love.

The more of this product I see the less I like it. Why does Topps want to keep all the mystery,put out a complete check list.
I feel as do a great number of my collecting friends that Topps is going way too far with all of their mystery B.S.

Way too many inserts. Topps get back to basics. I feel it’s stupid to pay $100.00 for a box of cards when you can buy the entire set for $90.00 or less on e-bay.
The real joke is the lid rips,come on no one even knew about this until they had already thrown the boxes away.

I have been collecting the Allen & Ginter sets since the first year. It is by far the toughest and most expensive set to bring anywhere near completion. it is the most challenging and interesting card out there. You have a fighting chance to get most of the major subsets and some of the one per case cards. But I doubt that anyone ever came close to complete set , even without the one of one cards. But it’s an amazing chase for the hardcore collector.

Love this set. The hobby box I bought sucked (Belt framed relic, Dejesus relic and Freddie Roach framed auto). But then I open the box loader pack and it’s a Bob Gibson auto /15. Love it.

Having a exclusive football card collection, I decided to broaden my horizons. Allen & Ginter does just that. Purchasing a hanger pack from Walmart for a curiosity stand point, I definitely am a fan of this product! One of my favorite past times is history, these cards are worth every penny for what they offer. This is a; “I will purchase more packs”, product. There is so much to like, with this as a strong point, I would recommend Allen & Ginter!

Hi can anyone tell me where I can buy a box of these cards? I am new to collecting. Can they be bought in stores or only online?

also, don’t know where to find RIP cards and what are they like……is there a card within a card…any place on the web I can see some?

can you help. I am wondering how the minis are offered in this set….Is there a corresponding mini for each base card in the set? Are there any variations in the minis or the base set for this product?

Can anyone shed some light on few things I’ve noticed after ripping two boxes…

one, why are the relic cards available in two different border types

two, the Pele base card border seems to be of a varying color than the rest of the set

three, why are there two spots for Henry Rollins in the checklist

four, should I rip it or not rip it? That is a hard question to answer.

Can anyone explain to me what the deal is with the blank-back Pele cards? I pulled one and I’m trying to figure out what the heck it is. Thanks.

Can I show my naivete, but what is the A&G code? I keep seeing it, but have no idea what it is referring to…

can you shed any light on the pele blank back misprints? I also have two different base Bill Walton cards one is #350 as listed but the other is #100 and has a different color behind his image..?

interesting, different card set with a little of everything….the minis I don’t really understand….really covered in gypsy queen and ….I don’t even know, is there a mini parallel for each regular base card.?…..I will enjoy collecting

Although I love the design of A&G every year, I’ll have to say that I will not be buying it this year. Why? Out of a 350 card base set, Topps can’t have the courtesy of adding a single Astro to the checklist? I get that Better teams have more representation, but it would be nice to have one card to go after.

Always the best box break that Topps has to offer. Every pack is something new and exciting! Love the mini’s, the autographs, the relics, the oddities, and box toppers. Hoping for another Rip Card this year!

I love this A&G series for all the variety. I am an autograph collector, and looks like this year I will ample opportunity to get a few. Keep up the amazing work on these.

I cannot wait for this set. I hadn’t collected in years when I happened to walk into a local card shop in 2011 and saw the A and G for 2011, that got me hooked again. I have collected the 11 and 12 A and G and have been anticipating this one for a few months. Just wish we weren’t waiting until July to get them. What you guys have done with these sets is great. Thanks.

This product is perfect for a guy like me. I love collecting baseball cards, but want to break up the monotony of base card after base card of a set of ball players.

Put me down for a case… hell I might even go two cases of this stuff for ’13. I want that Josh Hamilton as well as a wall of butterflies.

I just recently got into the 2011 and 2012 Allen & Ginter sets. Prior to collecting A&G very recently, I’ve enjoyed the Gypsy Queen sets. While I prefer the GQ design, shots of players, A&G’s layout as well as investment in esoteric additions to their set are fantastic.

I like when something comes through in card collecting and rattles up the standard fare a bit. A&G is currently, and clearly has been, doing that more successfully than any other release.

For the first time yet, I’ll be purchasing a few hobby boxes of this release and excitedly building a set, even if that set mixes baseball players with bizarre one-of-a-kinds, royalty and other historic personages, and even “palaces and strongholds.”

C’mone, 2013 releases!
