The geeks still rule the top of TV sitcom ratings. 2013 Cryptozoic Big Bang Theory Season 5 trading cards are the third release to center on Sheldon, Leonard, Penny and the rest of the crew. Highlighted once again by autographs and costume cards, there are also some new surprises.
The 2013 Cryptozoic Big Bang Theory Season 5 base set has 72 cards. All take images direct from the show's fifth season, recreating memorable moments and turning points including the evolving relationship between Sheldon and Amy as well as Leonard and Penny 2.0.
Autographs and Wardrobe Cards return as the central hits for the release, although insertion rates have not yet been released. Both fell one per box in the Seasons 1 and 2 and Seasons 3 and 4 sets.
Two basic inserts are both new to 2013 Cryptozoic Big Bang Theory Season 5. Character Standee inserts can be punched out and folded to make for simple desk decorations. In theory, one could also use them in a Barbie Dream House to recreate episodes and tell new stories. Quotable inserts focus on the memorable lines many people find themselves repeating over coffee breaks and in message board chatter. Character Standee and Quotable cards are both inserted 1:12 packs, or two of each per box.
A special redemption is good for an over-sized Quad Wardrobe card. It comes with pieces of the paintball gear worn by Sheldon, Leonard, Howard and Raj.
The release also has a custom binder that's sold separately. It comes with an exclusive Penny Wardrobe card that's not available in packs.
