Two Weeks of Topps Hobby Shop Promotions Offer Exclusive Cards, Buybacks
Over the next couple of weeks, Topps has given collectors several reasons to head to their local hobby shop. They have three different promotions happening over the next couple of weeks. Two coincide with the release of 2013 Topps Archives Baseball. The third centers around 2013 Topps Series 2 Baseball, which releases officially on June 19.
June 10 - 16 - $0.25 Packs of Cards
From June 10 to 16, participating hobby shops have special five-card packs. Inside each pack is one 2013 Topps Archives Day Glow Orange parallel not available anywhere else. Each special pack costs just $0.25.
June 17 - 24 - Trade Your 80s Cards for New Ones
Got a stash of 1987 Topps Andres Galarraga cards cluttering up the house? Topps' second promotion might not help you get rid of all of them, but it can start. Between June 17 and 24, you can trade an 80s baseball card for a special 2013 Topps Series 2 cello pack. Randomly inserted are new parallels and autographs.
2013 Topps Archives Baseball Buyback Redemptions
Finally, there is also a redemption aspect. Every 2013 Topps Archives Baseball hobby box has one redemption card. Collectors can trade them at their hobby shop for a random card from the Topps vault. Cards come in a foil pack. They date back to the 1950s through the 80s. Buyback packs are available while supplies last.
It's a good idea to call your local shop in advance to make sure they are participating and that they still have the promo packs in stock.

Do you know how many packs the shops will get? also are there going to be any
limits on how many packs you can buy?
For only .25 I can see most of them
being bought out. and resold for higher
amounts.

Lee C No idea. These sorts of promotions are normally pretty plentiful.
