Los Angeles Dodgers Collecting and Fan Guide
Overview
The Los Angeles Dodger may be a West Coast team today, but their roots will always be in New York. Originally founded in 1883, the team played in Washington Park in Brooklyn as the Brooklyn Atlantics. The team made their move to the legendary Ebbets field in 1913 and officially became the Dodgers in 1932. The team headed west in 1958 as baseball's expansion era began.
The team has had tremendous success, winning six World Series titles and 21 National League pennants. At the core of this winning tradition is the ability to identify, recruit and train top talent. The club has produced 12 Rookie of the Year players and was the first team to develop ties with players from Asia. It's no secret that pitching wins championships and the Dodger have had 11 seasons with a pitcher on their roster winning the Cy Young Award.
In 1947, then owner, Branch Rickey, forever changed baseball when he broke baseball's long exclusive color line by signing African-American player, Jackie Robinson, to a Major League Baseball contract. The move came just as issues of segregation and civil rights would begin to play a major role in American history. Robinson eventually earned the respect of teammates and fans for the ballplayer he was and not the color of his skin.
The team has had a long running postseason rivalry with the New York Yankees dating back to the club's days in Brooklyn. Fall Classics played between the two teams have created some of baseball's most epic memories. Most notably of these is Reggie Jackson's three home runs on three pitches in one game of the 1977 series, earning the Yankee's slugger the nickname, "Mr. October."
The organization has developed several high-profile pitchers that have garnered global media attention. From south of the border power-pitcher, Fernando Valenzuala, to Japanese-born Hideo Nomo, the Dodgers have been masters of mining global talent. That attention to pitching dates back to the late-1950s, when Sandy Koufax and Don Drysdale ruled the National League.
In a highly publicized sale, the team was acquired by an ownership group led by Hall of Fame basketball player, Magic Johnson, for a record $2 billion in 2012. As the team looks to re-establish their winning tradition, the organization is once again hoping that pitching will be the answer. The Dodgers have recently employed a mix of veterans and rookies in the bullpen including Clayton Kershaw, Chad Billingsly, Josh Beckett, Zach Greinke and Brian Wilson. The cub has complimented its pitching staff with a core group of highly skilled offensive weapons in Carl Crawford, Matt Kemp, Hanley Ramirez and Yasiel Puig.

chasity brown
I’ve recently gained a black/red/white 59FIFTY NEW ERA 7 1/8 56.8cm fitted baseball cap that has been autographed by three players.
On the bottom of the bill of the cap it looks to say “Clirn” and on the top of the bill of the cap it looks to say “Kml k.k.” on the left hand side and then the autograph on the right hand side I am unable to clearly read.
I was just wondering how much it might be worth, if anything. And if so where would I go to sell this item?
Sorry, I’m not a fan of sports at all so knowing exactly what I’m looking for to answer those questions are becoming very difficult for me to figure out
