Already one in a long line of Dodgers pitching greats, Clayton Kershaw cards have slowly seen their stock rise over the years. As a multi-time winner of the Cy Young award, some of Kershaw's first cards tend to garner the most hobby attention.
Official Clayton Kershaw rookie cards are found in 2008 products. They range from a couple of dollars for low-end base cards to much higher for limited autographs. There are also lots of autographs and tough inserts that aren't technically rookies but still popular. However, the most desirable Clayton Kershaw cards are found in 2006 Bowman products, which include the first cards of Kershaw in a Dodgers uniform. The 2006 Bowman Chrome Draft Clayton Kershaw autograph is the key card among these.
Collectors can also look back a little earlier for some great deals on early Clayton Kershaw autographs. The 2005 Upper Deck USA Baseball set has several numbered autographs of the pitcher, including some dual autographs.

There is one numbered on eBay to 50… What are your thoughts on this card as far as value compared to the version to 199… Worth the 500 asking price?

Chris Welling I’m personally not a fan of parallels over the rookie versions, but that’s a personal preference. If you like the card and are comfortable with the price, go for it. That said, that’s a bit amount for a Kershaw autograph. There’s no shortage of his signature. Look up completed eBay autographs for similarly numbered cards and you’ll get a sense of what the current going rates are.
