1977 Topps Star Wars Series 1 Trading Cards

Product Details

User Rating:

The first Star Wars trading cards are considered classic among modern card collectors. The first of five series released between 1977 and 1978, the set has 66 cards. Their distinct star-dotted blue borders are instantly recognizable.

The checklist kicks off with a handful of profile cards and is followed by a traditional film summary. Captions on the front summarize the action. Card backs are a mix of movie facts and a puzzle that recreates the classic poster art done by Greg and Tim Hildebrandt.

Each pack also had one of 11 stickers. They are done in the distinct thick-bordered design Topps used for many years. These are some of the most popular cards in the set.

Star Wars Series 1 boxes have 36 packs. Each pack has seven cards plus one sticker.
