There are still 53 weeks until Star Wars: The Force Awakens arrives. Or is it just 53 weeks. That means a whole lot of hype and teases before the masses get their chance to watch it. And director J.J. Abrams is a master of the tease. Things took a trading card twist when Abrams and company opted to reveal the names of several new characters using a look familiar to long-time collectors.

In an Entertainment Weekly article, the iconic 1977 Topps Star Wars trading cards design captured key moments from the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer. There's even a change in border colors, another nod to the set's multiple series. StarWars.com also has a gallery without the EW watermarks.

But the big news to come from the cards is found in the captions. They put names to some new faces. The shadowy figure with the much talked about tri-blade lightsaber is Kylo Ren. The goofy ball droid is BB-8. Then there's Rey -- the girl on the speeder, Finn -- the unmasked Stormtrooper, and Poe Dameron -- the X-Wing pilot.

The cards are skip-numbered. Does this mean that more digital cards could be on the way? The article does mention the numbers carry significance. For collectors, the bigger question is when do we get the real cards?

Topps has yet to announce any Star Wars: The Force Awakens cards.
