Surprise Ronda Rousey Autograph Cards, Belts in 2013 Topps UFC Knockout
Ronda Rousey cards are some of the hottest in the hobby right now. While it should come as no surprise that she has several cards in 2013 Topps UFC Knockout, the card maker did manage to slip in a couple of surprises that weren't announced ahead of the set's launch.
The first is a Ronda Rousey Championship Belt card that honors her being named the first UFC Women's Champion. It's highlighted by gold-plated belt plate that resembles an actual championship. The base version is numbered to 135. An autographed version comes numbered to 25.
These are the first pack-inserted UFC Championship Belt cards. A similar Georges St-Pierre was distributed at the 2011 UFC Toronto Fan Expo. These cards were signed and numbered to 199.
The second surprise isn't a card. Rather, it's a ticket good for an autographed Ronda Rousey UFC belt. Just ten tickets are available. One holder will also get an exclusive meet and greet with the fighter.
Not including parallels, Rousey has more than ten different autograph cards in 2013 Topps UFC Knockout. Highlights include a dual autograph with Sarah Kaufman (#/10), a triple signature with Kaufman and Miesha Tate, and a six-signature card. The Full-Contact Ronda Rousey autograph comes with a silver signature rather than the more conventional blues, blacks and reds. Another unique spin is @utographs, which comes inscribed with Rousey's Twitter handle. Fist-ographs are box toppers that have both a signature and a fist imprint.
Every 2013 Topps UFC Knockout hobby box includes two autographs and two autographed relics. Besides Rousey, the checklist includes nearly all of the UFC's top fighters, including Jon "Bones" Jones, St-Pierre and Anderson Silva.
