Freddie Freeman Rookie Cards Checklist and Memorabilia Guide

Freddie Freeman

Date of Birth: 9/12/1989
Rookie Card Year: 2011
Investment Rating: 7.5

Overview

A fan-favorite for the Atlanta Braves, Freddie Freeman has put together a strong MLB career with multiple All-Star nods. Freddie Freeman rookie cards don't see the same attention given to his younger teammates, like Ronald Acuna and Ozzie Albies, but they still command respect in the hobby world.

Selected out of high school in the second round of the 2007 MLB Draft, Freddie Freeman would get his call up to the majors in 2010. Although he was named the starter at first base in 2011, Freeman did not have his breakout season until 2013, when he was named an All-Star and finished 5th in the voting for NL MVP.

At this point, it is hard to expect a huge surge in value for Freeman, but the Braves have the talent to make a run at the World Series and that would help the demand and interest for his earliest cards.

In total, there are 14 official Freddie Freeman rookie cards and several popular prospect cards. The top options are highlighted below.

Freddie Freeman Key Signature Attributes: An authentic Freddie Freeman signature autograph will exhibit several distinguishing characteristics. It is important to note that Freddie Freeman has greatly shortened his signature. When examining his current autograph, look for the following signature features:

  1. The signature begins with two large "F" letters that resemble the number seven.
  2. The pen lifts and the remainder of the signature is little more than a squiggle that crosses both of the "F" letters.
  3. Sometimes the first and last name are separated, but the "F" is still the only legible part.
  4. The signature ends with a "5" for his jersey number.

    Hi,
I’m trying to find some information on a card I have. It’ a 2011 Topps Freddie Freeman Rookie Card. Card #ATL11.
Is this a variation card or just a common? I’ve looked at EBay and also on this site and can’t find anything.
Any help would be very appreciative.
    Thank you
