Overview

Dino Ciccarelli cards and autographed memorabilia have a highly respected place in the world of hockey collectibles. A true underdog story, he went undrafted as teams thought his smaller stature would be a detriment. As a result, Ciccarelli played with a chip on his shoulder for much of his 19-year career. When he retireed in 1999, Ciccarelli had tallied 608 NHL goals.

Ciccarelli has two rookie cards, 1981-82 O-Pee-Chee and 1981-82 Topps Hockey. He also has a team-issued postcard from the Minnesota North Stars. It was a fan premium distributed during the 1981-82 season.

The first certified Dino Ciccarelli autograph card is in 1995-96  Be A Player. A Gold parallel of the card was also produced. The exact number of existing copies is unknown. The cards are not serial numbered.

Dino Ciccarelli's first game-used memorabilia cards were included in 1999-00 Upper Deck PowerDeck. The CD cards may have quickly disappeared, but the memorabilia card is still popular today. It is part of Upper Deck's  Piece of History set that spread across several releases to honor 500 Goal Club members. An autographed parallel  is serial numbered to just 25 copies and commands a significant premium.

The value of Ciccarelli's autographed memorabilia is commiserate with his Hall of Fame status. He was a player that was despised by fans of opposing teams. However, he was also the type of player that every fan would want on their team. That deep-seeded respect, combined with his improbable rise to NHL stardom, translates to consistent demand for Dino Ciccarelli autographed memorabilia.
