It was only a matter of time before Leon Sandcastle got a football card. Now he's getting two. Panini has announced plans to include Deion Sanders' alter ego on a pair of early-season 2013 releases.

The first Leon Sandcastle football card is slated for 2013 Score Football. According to Panini, the card will only be inserted in retail packs. An autographed Leon Sandcastle card will be included in 2013 Prestige Football as a Hobby-exclusive insert.

UPDATE (4/30): It looks like collectors can look forward to Leon Sandcastle cards from Topps, as well. The company posted the following image on Twitter today, which points toward a card in 2013 Bowman Football.

The Leon Sandcastle character was created as a way to promote the 2013 NFL Draft. It debuted in a Super Bowl commercial and has been followed up by several other vignettes, including at the combine. He's also in NFL Madden '13.
