Update (11/17/2014): Topps has announced they're joining Lead and making some Johnny Manziel baseball cards of their own. He has autographs in 2014 Bowman Draft Baseball. Unlike the Leaf cards, these feature Manziel in a Padres uniform.
2014 Bowman Draft is currently scheduled to release on December 10.
Johnny Manziel has plenty of football cards already. Now "Johnny Football" has a handful of baseball cards on the way courtesy of Leaf.
The card maker has announced plans they're going to include the high-profile Heisman winner in 2014 Leaf Metal Draft, 2014 Leaf Valiant and 2014 Leaf Trinity Baseball. All of the planned Johnny Manziel baseball cards are autographs.
Although it may seem strange to have baseball cards of a football player, Manziel was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the 28th round of the 2014 MLB Draft. The team had him throw out a ceremonial pitch, which is likely the most in-game action he'll see on the diamond.
The Browns rookie isn't the first football player to have a baseball card this year either. Topps has produced a couple of cards of Seahawks quarterback, Russell Wilson. The 2014 Bowman Prospects Russell Wilson is a big-time short print that has sold for more than $100, although it seems to have settled closer to the $60-75 range. Wilson, a part of the Rangers organization, also has a 2014 Bowman Platinum Toolsy Die-Cut insert that is more affordable at $6-10.
2014 Leaft Metal Draft Baseball is out now. The Manziel is inserted as a redemption. 2014 Leaf Valiant is due November 21 while 2014 Leaf Trinity is slated for December.
