2020 Topps Opening Day Baseball Variations Guide – Canadian Exclusives
The 2020 Topps Opening Day Baseball variations remain one of the toughest image swaps in the MLB collecting world.
While the low-end set is not geared to hit collectors, several of the inserts, including the photo variations, carry very steep odds.
2020 Topps Opening Day Variations Set Details
Listed on the 2020 Topps Opening Day Baseball checklist, the 2020 Topps Opening Day variations lineup features 30 players. This includes many of the top MLB stars and even a few prized rookies. At 1:615 Hobby packs, these super short prints only fall one per case, on average.
There are also even more limited autographs that are numbered to 10 copies and average 1:30,391 packs. However, the signed cards only apply to half the checklist.
Dugout Peeks (1:2,310 packs) and Walk This Way (1:369 packs) cards also utilize the main design, but they are noted on the front and the card number is different. As such, these are SSP inserts rather than base variations.
2020 Topps Opening Day Baseball Canadian Variations
2020 Opening Day MLB features Canada-only variations, as well. These are exclusive to Canadian Blister packs at a rate of one bonus card per three-pack format. In addition to the short-printed image, the exclusive cards add a maple leaf border in red. All six subjects hail from the Toronto Blue Jays.

I got zero Luis Roberts in my case, that was disappointing. I did get the Bichette variation though!
