The chromium collecting train continues to build steam as 2020 Topps Allen & Ginter Chrome Baseball debuts as a Hobby-only release.

Every Hobby box delivers six base Refractors and seven inserts.

Although each box contains multiple Refractors, autograph cards are a rarity that only appear once per case.

2020 Topps Allen & Ginter Chrome Baseball Base / Minis / Refractors

Treating the main 2020 A&G design to a healthy dose of Chrome, the 300-card base set covers the baseball world and beyond. In this instance, the beyond applies to pop culture.

2020 Topps Allen & Ginter Chrome Baseball Cards 3

Naturally, it wouldn't be a Chrome set without a Refractor rainbow to chase. In addition, mini versions mirror the entire base set and fall one per pack.

User Reviews

  1. Unlikely, since this is a new Hobby-only release and Ginter X is an online-exclusive set.

  2. Looks like its going to be a Credible product Finally..Enjoy it All!!😎👍

  3. Has this set been released already? Seeing cards start to pop up on ebay.. how? If they are released tomorrow? Wheres the checklist?

  4. The official release date is listed above. Topps products show up a day or two early quite often. As soon as we have the checklist, it will be posted.

  5. it might just be me, but there seems to be a parallel that isn’t noted on the product description info. Kind of like the un-numbered black border minis in regular A&G, the chrome release has both mini and regular size cards that have an added light gold background around the player pic (this is besides the color splash around each player. it’s actually quite distinct. is it a unannounced parallel or just my bifocals?

  6. So this is a nice looking product but the draw back is the price point for what you get. At around 80 dollars is max as autos are a tough pull and the base set is large. 95% of boxes will be average. Use caution when paying 150 or more per box.

  7. Another chrome product? Topps should discontinue Allen & Ginter, never liked A&G, nothing more than a money racket. Topps is flooding baseball card market with a bunch useless reproduce cards, just keep it simple with Topps regular, Archives, Heritage, Gallery, Chrome & Bowman. Too much to keep track of. $165 for Chrome A&G not worth it.

  8. So because joe13 doesn’t like it and never has liked A&G it shouldn’t exist… Got It…..

  9. Cards are really nice looking but the price for what you get is WAY TOO HIGH! It would take a few thousand dollars to finish the set and with autos being so rare, simply not worth the price. Don’t waste your money.

  10. Ugh…I wish I would have came here first before spending this kind of money on a box. I’m about 90% of the way through and it’s brutal for any hits or maybe I’m just not seeing them, and I really haven’t seen any rookies yet either to be honest..Weird. If there are refractors, it isn’t incredibly apparent or they need to label it as such like the other Chrome products. I wasn’t aware of the scarcity of the auto’s and thought it was 1 auto per box for some reason, but it’s much worst than that from what I’ve seen. At $150 a box from my LCS that is 45 min away, its a bit steep.

To continue on with the rant, I’d say about 3/4 of these are pretty OC. I don’t expect every card to be perfect, but this is a very high rate of off center cards. I honestly think Topps was cranking this stuff out the door to make up for lost time and to take advantage of the folks who are bored out of their minds during 2020.

I’m going to save my remaining few packs for later on when I’m drunk so it doesn’t’ hurt so much when I finished opening them.

  11. Very limited print run on this. With 600+ superfractors that is where the value is here. Autos are some of the most desirable in hobby. Clean sharp looking product. I was against chrome, but once I saw this and all the low numbered parallels it brings I was hooked. This will disappear from shelves soon.

  12. Beautiful set, limited print run, reasonable price, fantastic auto line up. Shoot, fantastic base line up. This will be one people will wish they didnt pass on.
