2020 Funko San Diego Comic-Con Exclusives Gallery and Checklist

In a year unlike any other, the 2020 Funko San Diego Comic-Con exclusives have also shifted in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The iconic summer convention is not happening in 2020, but, as they say, the vinyl must go on.

Originally scheduled for July 22 to July 26, San Diego Comic-Con 2020 is officially canceled. The Comic-Con International website has the full details and planning is already underway for 2021 San Diego Comic-Con.

2020 San Diego Comic-Con at Home / Funko Virtual Con

Like WonderCon, also organized by Comic-Con International, which is the group in charge of San Diego Comic-Con, the mega-con has gone virtual via San Diego Comic-Con at Home (Comic-Con@Home).

Collectors have already experienced a few instances of Funko Virtual Con this year, including Emerald City Comic Con and WonderCon. Essentially, most of the Pop! action moves online with Funko selling figures directly along with the shared retailers.

In addition, the 2020 Funko Pop E3 Expo exclusives were released exclusively through GameStop this year.

Dubbed Funko Virtual Con 3.0, the week-long online event runs from July 19 to July 25.

2020 Funko San Diego Comic-Con Exclusives Figures Details

Leading off the 2020 Funko Pop San Diego Comic-Con exclusives, an early entry comes courtesy of PX Previews. This has been the norm in previous years, as well.

Entertainment Earth started revealing their SDCC exclusives on June 16. This includes all collectibles, not just Funko vinyl.

Finally, on June 29, Funko got the official Pop! reveals underway. The lineup proved to be smaller than previous years.

Due to the Virtual Con 3.0 format, the figures are largely sold online. This kicks off through Funko's online store on Wednesday, July 22 at 5 PM PDT/8 PM EST. The site will shut down at 4 PM PDT/7 PM EST in preparation for the sale.

During the initial release (aka Virtual Con Takeover), the SDCC offerings and the Dwight Schrute (w/ Princess Unicorn) figure are limited to one per person. All shared figures will be made available during this drop.

If you purchase 2020 Funko San Diego Comic-Con Exclusives figures from Funko online, they can have either shared Summer Convention stickers or the official SDCC sticker. This is random and there is no way to choose.

Those venturing out should be aware that the figures will not be sold in-store at Funko Hollywood or Funko HQ locations.

Most of the shared retailers are expected to start selling their online items on July 23 at 12:01 AM EST. In-store options actually started appearing the week before Virtual Con 3.0, although many of these should officially release on either July 22 or 23.

2020 Funko San Diego Comic-Con Charity eBay Auction

Part of the Virtual Con 3.0 event includes the official charity auction on eBay benefitting the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. The lineup offers multiple prototypes and other SDCC / Funko Fundays exclusives from previous years. Funko is also selling VIP tickets to the 2021 Fundays event.
