2020 Funko Pop Star Wars Celebration Galactic Convention Exclusives
The 2020 Funko Pop Star Wars Celebration Exclusives kick off another season of vinyl fun for the collectors of the galaxy.
All the exclusive Galactic Convention figure releases add to the massive Funko Pop Star Wars line.
2020 Star Wars Celebration / Funko Virtual Con Galactic Edition
Due to COVID-19, 2020 Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim is canceled. It was originally scheduled for August 27-30 at the Anaheim Convention Center. After taking 2021 off, the SWCC event returns to Anaheim in 2022.
As expected, the 2020 Funko Pop Star Wars Celebration Exclusive figures follow the lead of earlier conventions. This means a Virtual Con where Funko sells the figures directly along with the shared retailers.
However, unlike the other big Pop! conventions that already took place, such as Emerald City Comic Con or San Diego Comic-Con, Star Wars Celebration has a singular focus.
The bulk of the 2020 Funko Pop Galactic Convention lineup is dedicated to the new Concept Series set. These Pop! vinyls are based on Ralph McQuarrie's original drawings.
While there are multiple shared retailers, Funko's online store has all the exclusives. This initial sale kicks off at 11 AM PDT / 2 PM EST on Thursday, August 27. The figures will have either the Anaheim 2020 Star Wars Celebration sticker or the 2020 Galactic Convention Exclusive sticker on the box, with no way to specify which you will get.
Per Funko, these will not be available at the Funko HQ or Funko Hollywood locations.
The shared retailers will release their specific figures on August 27 or 28.
