2019 Topps Now Moment of the Week Baseball Cards – Moment of the Year Checklist

User Rating:

2019 Topps Now Moment of the Week Baseball is a print-to-order release that puts collectors in charge of the final decision. Topps identifies a few key players and performances from the prior week, and collectors pick the weekly winner.

The online-only offshoot of the main 2019 Topps Now Baseball line first debuted in 2018 and it stretched across 30 weeks before ending with a 10-card Moment of the Year set.

2019 Topps Now Moment of the Week Details

The plan is that the new 2019 Topps Now Moment of the Week Baseball options will be up for a vote every Monday. Collectors cast their votes by agreeing to purchase the card for $7.99, but only if it is the winner. The card with the most votes on Wednesday when voting ends is printed each week, so collectors who want to guarantee the winning card have no risk by putting in votes for all the candidates on the ballot. All losing-card purchases are canceled.

The incentive for purchasing the card during the voting period is a lower price and the fact that the card ordered while voting is the limited gold winner logo version. These have the word "winner" printed on the card.

Therefore, the window to order the gold "winner" card is rather short at just two days. The rest of the time, collectors can only purchase the main version that uses white text instead of gold and is not specifically noted as the winner. The standard price of $9.99 is in effect for the base card available outside of the voting timeframe.

2019 Topps Now Moment of the Year Details

Following 31 weeks, the MLB season culminates with 2019 Topps Now Moment of the Year voting. Collectors pick the top 20 moments from 2019 and the winning cards are issued daily, leading up to the top overall spot. These sell for $9.99 and are available for 24 hours like the normal Now cards.
