Combining retro designs and MiLB stars, 2019 Topps Heritage Minor League Baseball, or 2019 Heritage Minors, as some like to call it, lets fans add more variety to their prospect collection.
Exclusive to Hobby, the format is virtually identical to the 2018 version with one hard-signed autograph and one relic per box.
2019 Topps Heritage Minor League Baseball Base / Variations
Obviously, the main difference for 2019 Topps Heritage Minor League Baseball compared to 2018 is the design inspiration. This time around, Heritage MiLB uses 1970 Topps Baseball as the guide, just like the main Heritage MLB set for 2019.
The 2019 Topps Heritage Minor League Baseball checklist features a 200-card base set with League Leaders cards, The Sporting News All-Star cards, and several parallels. Limited options consist of Blue Border (#/99), Black Border (#/50) and Red Border (1/1) parallels, plus the new case-hit Gold Border.
The base lineup is further extended with short prints (SP) for those players not in the main group, as well as standard Image Variation cards.
"Surprise variation cards" were also mentioned but no other details were provided.
2019 Topps Heritage Minor League Baseball Inserts
For the inserts, 2019 Topps Heritage Minor League Baseball offers new choices via Fresh on the Scene, which covers the best minor league talent.
There is also Fantastic Feats for the standouts of 2018.
Each Hobby box also provides collectors with two chances to "Make Your Pro Debut." This promo awards a grand prize good for a one-day contract with the Rocket City Trash Pandas, and a pack-issued card in 2020 Topps Pro Debut Baseball.
2019 Topps Heritage Minor League Baseball Autographs / Relics
Drawing the most attention, 2019 Topps Heritage Minor League Baseball promises one on-card autograph and one relic per box. Signed cards include the main Real One Autographs line with Blue Border (#/99), Black Border (#/50), Player Name Color Change (#/25), and Red Border (1/1) parallels.
Other MiLB signatures are found with the Base Image Variation Autograph (#/50), Bazooka Autograph (#/50), Fresh on the Scene Autograph (#/99), and Real One Dual Autograph (#/20) cards.
Memorabilia enters the mix with Clubhouse Collection Relic cards. These feature game-used jersey swatches and bat pieces for current MiLB players. Parallels include Blue (#/99), Black (#/50), Orange (#/25), and Red Patch (1/1).
Another brand staple is found in 1970 Mint (#/99). The coin-based relic set adds Black Quarter (#/50), Red Quarter (1/1) and Autograph Relic (#/10) options, as well.
