Injecting a little extra fun into the game for a second year, 2018 Topps Now MLB Players Weekend cards document the nickname jerseys worn by select players from August 24 to 26.
As many know, players are allowed to choose what they want to be shown on the back of their jersey during this period, and many display a fair amount of personality and/or creativity with their moniker. The jerseys themselves are also different as they feature a youth-league style which ultimately means bright color combos.
Another offshoot of the 2018 Topps Now Baseball program, the 2018 Topps Now MLB Players Weekend set offers 150 cards split across all 30 teams at five players each. Complete team sets sell for $19.99 for five cards.
Although only five players from each team get the cardboard coverage, you can review all nicknames across the entire league at the MLB website.
2018 Topps Now MLB Players Weekend Baseball Relics
Collectors may remember a similar set in 2017 also included game-used jersey relics. The relics returned on September 13 as a separate set under the 2018 Topps Now MLB Players Weekend banner.

Priced at $50, every pack includes one MLB Authenticated jersey swatch from Players' Weekend. The main cards are each numbered to 199. There are also parallels limited to 99 copies and less and the versions numbered to 25 and less all feature patches. Those who purchase 26 packs are guaranteed to get the entire relic checklist. Packs are on sale for about three weeks or as supplies last.
2018 Topps Now MLB Players Weekend Baseball Bonus
While every team set has five cards guaranteed, that number can increase based on a few bonuses. One such option centers on the winning ways of the team you purchased. Simply put, if your team puts together a six-game winning streak between 8/24/2018 and the end of the regular season, you get a free bonus card.
Those that buy 2018 Topps Now MLB Players Weekend sets in bulk are also eligible for another bonus card. For every five-set bundle purchased at $89.99, you get one Bonus #1 card. And each 10-set bundle ($164.99) earns one each of the Bonus #1 and Bonus #2 cards.

I like the product. The nicknames are fun and it is a smaller set so it displays really nicely The patches on the 1/1 are great looking cards.
