The 2018 Bowman Platinum Baseball variations feature top MLB players with a swirl of color and limited photo versions. Offering 10 notable stars and rookies, including Mike Trout, Kris Bryant and Shohei Ohtani, the SSP cards carry steep pack odds.
Reserved for some of the very best names on the 2018 Bowman Platinum Baseball checklist, the variations average 1:391 packs. For the most premium format—the two-autograph Collector boxes—that's roughly 1:20 boxes. Fat packs have them at 1:163 packs.
While it can be somewhat difficult to notice due to the loud background, there is a basic theme for the 2018 Bowman Platinum Baseball variation images. Base cards show in-action shots of the players and the SSP cards opt for more casual shots from warm-ups, batting practice or just moments in between active play.

If you still prefer another way to know it's a variation, 2018 Bowman Platinum features the trick that has become common in Topps sets. All collectors must do is flip the card over to the back, look under the stats at the very bottom of the card for the CODE#CMP number, and check the final three digits.
- Base - ends in #264
- Variation - ends in #303
Hunter Greene, the second-overall pick in the 2017 MLB Draft, has an entire 10-card insert dedicated to him. Although it also uses the base design, the card numbering (#HG-) helps distinguish it from his card in the base prospects set (#TOP-4).

I have noticed Lolo Sanchez cards that are purple have numbers on them. One of the purple cards is an error, I guess the number is wrong. I have a purple Lolo sanchez that does not have a number on it. Is it a common Lolo card. Or is it suppose to have numbers on it.
