2017 Topps Five Star Baseball Cards

What a great product at first the designs looked boring until I received a few cases and the cards really stand out. It helps I pulled a judge /25. Great product compared to panini bull****.

The silver background behind the signatures can make the card look absolutely stunning or absolutely dreadful depending on the angle you’re viewing it from. Price point is a bit steep as well.

Although I do love how they make redemptions an extra hit instead of possibly screwing over the collector down the road. Especially if my small sample size ratio is any indication of the product as a whole. I bought 4 boxes and hit 3 redemptions: Bryant Base auto orange parallel, Bryant Heart of a Champion, Seager Silver Signature green parallel.

Only reason I bought these is because I loved the cards last year, I could get them for 70-80 bucks. Bought 3 boxes this year, got a Judge, Springer, Theo, Roy Oswalt and a beautiful Buster Posey jumbo patch. Just wish the auto wasn’t written on a shiney silver material, makes it hard to see the auto. But other than that, love the cards. I’m hesitant to buy more though because of the price. Along with every other box this year the pricing is a joke.

first thing this reminded me of was topps supreme and pack format too….

Ugly looking base autos, kind of reminds me of 2016 signature series football with the autos on a shiny silver surface. Same old checklist, a big yawn on this one..

Cards look really good this year.

At the risk of getting labeled as a whiner – how do the Phillies have one card? It took so long to get some decent prospects, sheesh…

I find this interesting that Golden Graphs and Silver Signatures are not parallels of each other.

Canseco has always been in both. I’m not hating that he isn’t in both this time necessarily since he has been in almost EVERYTHING this year. It has been tough to keep up! But I’m doing it :)

The screen comps are not exciting me, but I have a feeling that once they are in hand, I’ll fall in love like I always do :)
