I love the look of the 2017 Bowman cards. I honestly don’t care about the prospect autograph checklist because I don’t chase autos, I just enjoy collecting cards in general.

Two things: you forget the silver border parallels that are #’ed to 499.

Also, does anyone know about a gray border parallel that is not numbered? I pulled a Zach Britton that clearly has a border but it’s numbered. The border is darker than the silver…anyone know about this?

Just too many of the players are double of what has already been in other sets. I want guys that don’t have a card yet. A bunch of crap autos in this set also. I love bowman but not this time.

Definitely worth the $90 investment in one box.
Got a decent player gold auto and my first Superfractor (a patch auto!) of Dylan Cozens. It’s listed. Reasonable offers accepted.

I like the set, I like the look and the future possibility with this.
What I don’t like is that Topps sold it on their website for $75 when everyone else has it for $100 plus. My local hobby shop included. And I bought one for $105 not knowing Topps had it for cheaper.
They are just shooting themselves in the foot. How is a “Hobby Only” item for sale on their website? Isn’t that that point of Hobby Only, to sell it through shops and distributors?
Pretty similar to the Finest disaster from 2016. What a bunch of typical Topps nonsense.

^^^Thats exactly right^^^^ Last years Bowman chrome auto checklist was pretty atrocious. Boxes sat at $55/hobby and $65/vending and went unsold for months. Then Blowout (BO) swooped in and bought up all the cases they could find, then sat on them for a couple months till a couple more prospects from the set got hot and people started to want them. When that happened everybody except BO was sold out. They then set the market by charging $140/hobby and $160/vending. Double what they had been going for unsold just a couple months back. It’s funny that the sports collecting market has kinda taken off thanks in part to our economy so all these distributors and hobby shop owners are beating us over the head on prices now, especially for Bowman. Yet in a down economy those same people beg us to buy their goods because one of the first things for the bottom to fall out of in a bad economy is the sports collectibles market. I know that’s how a free market operates but maybe they should instead be trying to build a loyal customer base for when the economy does take a down turn so those same people will keep buying from you. Instead they just squeeze us for every $5 they can increase the price of a box with a smile on their face, sending us out of there shop walking funny.

Thank god there’s not another Judge auto causing the Yankees prices to be absurd in pyt. It’s already bad enough when distributors like BO are stock-piling product and driving the price up. Manufacturers should start limiting what they can order and open up factory direct to the buyers. It’s sad because a week from now BO and others will be “sold out” but magically have more 2 months later at a 30% bump. Just depressing.

Too all of the people that constantly complain about why their favorite team doesn’t get any/much representation in card sets – your team is not a popular team, or is not a good team, or is a combination of the two.

Card companies are not in the business of having equal representation of each team in each product. They are in the business of making money – and popular big market teams make money. The Yankees and Dodgers are big market teams, in big market cities, that have big fan bases nationwide. Lets try not to be surprised when they have a ton of cards each time.
The Royals, A’s, etc are small market teams, that aren’t good and won’t sell as much product. Simple math, and common sense folks. This is coming from a White Sox fan – who could routinely expect to see 1 maybe 2 cards in most products. After trading nearly everyone – they have some big name prospects and are getting some love. Maybe you should write your team’s GM and advise them to do the same.

Also, you are likely the same people that always complain when you get a no-name prospect auto from a small team. Sorry it wasn’t the no-name prospect from your terrible small market team.

This website is not run by Topps. it is 99.99% likely that they don’t check this. Quit acting like this is the customer service website.

Good luck on your packs. Hopefully you get a Judge or Bellinger, or some other big market star/prospect that is worth money, and not some small market no-namer that isn’t worth the cardboard and ink used in production.

Disappointing. The prospects list looks like a retread of players that already have cards. I don’t have any motivation of buying this. There has to be a licensing issue on why so many SF Giants never even received a Bowman card that are already in the majors. Austin Slater is the latest, not one Bowman card (except the AFLAC). I’ll save my $$ for draft.

Are there no printing plates?

Looks like classic Bowman retreads of the top 100 or so players from the past 2-3 Bowman sets. Some new faces like Jorge Ona, Brandon Marsh, and Tomas Nido to name a few. But COMMON Topps, do we really need MORE cards of Clint Frazier, Jorge Mateo, Nick Gordon, Ryan McMahon or Eloy Jimenez? With 1000000000 minor league players out there MANY in triple A ball without cards why must we see the same players year after year? I will probably buy a box or two, but Bowman Draft is the way to go.

correction needed: in the all american game autos you have zach puk but it should be zach collins easy error with aj puk right there just wanted you to know keep up the great work

does any one think bellinger will have a RC card in this..or only prospect cards ? I know Judge will be and anything he is in is flying off shelfs.

Are they putting this product back in retail?

Hopefully Blake Rutherford will be in this product

Seems like they are leaving out quite a few auto’s of up and coming superstars. Rhys Hoskins, Kevin Cron, Ryan O’Hearn to name a few.
