2016 Panini National Sports Collectors Convention Cards

While most of the card producers issue special cards for the National, Panini normally sets the bar and that looks to continue with the 2016 Panini National Sports Collectors Convention wrapper redemption set. Originally available at the 2016 NSCC, collectors acquired the popular foil packs by purchasing select products through specific sellers at the event in Atlantic City.
Like sets from past Nationals, the 2016 Panini National Sports Collectors Convention release is centered around a multi-sport base set. This year includes top stars of the MLB, NBA, NFL and international soccer. Notable 2016 rookies for baseball, football and basketball are also featured with a limited print run of 1,499 copies or less. The full base set includes 75 cards.
One of the main stories from an action-packed NBA offseason, Kevin Durant will have cards depicting him with the Golden State Warriors. While these are the first pack-pulled releases for the star with his new team, they are not found in regular packs and instead come in special one-card packs only through box purchases of 2015-16 Luxe or Gala Basketball. Similar to the 2016-17 Instant format, there will be a base red for KD as well as Orange, Blue, Purple, Green, and Black parallels along with rare Facsimile and authentic Autograph versions. These are his first signed cards for the Warriors.
Basic inserts in 2016 Panini National Sports Collectors Convention don't stray far from the base design with themes like Legend and New York Baseball. There is also an exclusive Select Soccer Pink parallel insert.
Obviously, the real demand from collectors comes from the limited parallels along with the many autographs and relics. 2016 Panini National Sports Collectors Convention offers several notable choices like the 2016 Rated Rookie Next Day Autographs and 2014 Pro Football Hall of Fame Autographs that both feature on-card signatures. Building on the choices, most of the base and inserts have several parallels, including an autographed edition.
There will also be the familiar rookie-drawn Sketch cards that show that most of the incoming NFL players should not plan on quitting their day jobs to pursue a career in the arts.
Acquiring the redemption packs at the 2016 National requires collectors to make box purchases for current products through four sellers at the show: Atlanta Sports Cards, Blowout Cards, Dave & Adam’s Card World and Steel City Collectibles.
Collectors must buy certain 2016 and 2015-16 products to receive a voucher for a set number of silver NSCC packs. These boxes must be opened at the Panini booth to redeem the voucher. Eligible products include:
