2014 Topps Prime Football Variations Guide
Overview
For most sets that have variations, it's a greatest hits of sorts. They offer an alternate look at the top players of the release. 2014 Topps Prime Football Variations make the photo swap the norm. One hundred of the set's 150 base cards come with a second image.
Veterans and rookies follow different themes. For vets, variations show players celebrating. Arms raised, fists pumped, roaring mouths open -- that sort of thing. Fifty of the 100 veterans in the set get the variation treatment.
All 50 rookies in the set have a second card as well. These are a little trickier to spot. There aren't a lot of useable images for them yet outside of the Rookie Premiere. As a result, collectors will need to look at things like whether the player has a ball or not, which hand it's in and the color of their jersey.
We've begun compiling a gallery for all of the 2014 Topps Prime Football Variations. The tabs at the top break them down into the veteran and rookie themes. The checklist is also arranged so that returning players are at the front of the set and rookies represent the final 50 cards.
Once complete, the guide will have images of both the base cards and variations as well as brief descriptions on what to look for.

Hey I was just organizing my son’s card collection and noticed that the Luke Kuechly #73 from Topps Prime is actually AJ Green. I was just wondering if anyone else noticed that.
