well after watching about 60-70 youtube case breaks of this and nt i decided to go with a case of five star and while it might have changed a little this year i still think overall its the better product. Personally if i’m gonna spend in upwards of $375 on a box i certainly dont wanna see any sticker autos..which nt has a lot of…and for me this was by far the right choice. first box i opened was pretty good..maybe a $275-$300 total value which as we all know can go up or down later but the second box probly paid for the whole case and might be the best single box of five star football i’ve ever seen. it had a redemption on top..turned out to be a jadeveon clowney gold graph red parallel which is a 1/1 so i figured the rest of the box would be average at best..then a johnny manziel jumbo patch book so not bad then a mike singletary which isnt bad either..then it got crazy…tom brady, brett favre, and a rainbow joe namath consecutively so pretty much and insane box. The other two boxes yeilded some decent rookies along with base autos of reggie wayne, alshon jeffery, john elway, and emmit smith..kinda guessing i might have got lucky with this case but most of the ones i’ve seen have been pretty decent at least..just like with nt though if you buy just one box you have the chance of getting an ok box but if you get a whole case you usually get enough to balance out the 1 or 2 meh boxes

Like everyone else is saying this product is an absolute JOKE at $400+ per box!! Highway robbery at its finest. These boxes should sell for $150 a pop and even at that price you’d lose $50+ 95% of the time…..Come on Topps…Is this is how you want collectors to remember your last few years with a license?? Topps chrome crashed and burned and so does this. If you cant keep up then why stay in business??

I generally believe in YMMV but after opening this product, I question if Topps actually cares about its customers. Every box of NT I have opened, at least one $100 card plus at least 10 cards in every box when the advertised number was 8. In one box of Five Star I got 6 cards that totaled $80 in sales. I never expect to make my money back, but this is ridiculous. Topps has missed the boat while Panini is sailing away.

Bought a case and was really disappointed. Not sure how Topps can justify selling a box for $400+ and have it come with only 2 serial numbered autos. As you can see on eBay the non-serial numbered auto’s have next to zero value unless you get an ELITE player (ODB, Brady etc…). Really wish I waited before purchasing…I would have definitely opted for NT. Really disappointing IMHO.

Want to change my rating. Would give it 1.5 stars if I could.

Non-numbered base autos and Golden/Silver base autos /60 mean they ramped up production. I’d still rather have a /599 or /699 card than one that’s not numbered.

First they screwed up Chrome, now their one true high-end brand.

A bit disappointed as the only cards I plan to chase are the two big quad books and a few cuts.

Pretty much a similar layout/format as the baseball release, except the glaring difference with rookie/vets. With football requiring a certain rookie percentage in the checklist, it will be good for those collectors, but bad for those of us that look for more vet material.

Still don’t understand the similar, but different Golden/Silver checklists and the 6 parallel levels.

The removal of Quotables still baffles me.
