Nice to see the old timers in the base update set…hit nothing spectacular out of the chrome packs…but pulled a pedroia ” Boston Strong” /50 from the regular update packs! Not too shabby!

It is a good product, but you have to buy the $14.99 box to get the 2 packs. Not worth it in my opinion.

First box I buy has a Puig Gold Refractor #/250, so that’s a start. LOL.
Bought another box and got another #/250 of Christian Yelich (RC)
Hate spending the 14.99 + tax as I collect Chrome but don’t need the Update base cards Not riddled with an abundance of junk inserts like normal Topps. Prices are low right now for base on eBay so player collectors should buy now

Is this a Walmart or Target only release? Or can I pick up these mini boxes at my local hobby shop?

Ryan Cracknell

David Brosnan » It looks to be a retail release but some hobby shops might pick it up.

I think this might have some potential for the Puig collectors as well as just Chrome collectors. If that is the only place I can find a Puig update chrome, I might have to buy a few boxes, as much as I hate the Topps Update in general.

Bob Patterson » The sales posting for this on Amazon did mention that this would be Puig’s long Topps Chrome card this year, but I did see a mention from Topps on Twitter that there would be some in regular Topps Chrome.

Very interesting. I hope they pick up the numbering from the end of the regular series instead of putting a “U” in front of the numbers.
