2013 Topps Archives Baseball Fan Favorites Autographs Guide

If you were a baseball fan in the 1980s or 1990s, there's a good chance that you'll know the names on the 2013 Topps Archives Baseball Fan Favorites Autographs checklist. They may not be Hall of Famers or legends, but there are plenty of former All-Stars, award winners and standouts. Many of the signers don't appear in tons of sets today either.

Designs cover a broad spectrum of years. They're inspired by a year from the player's career. All 2013 Topps Archives Baseball Fan Favorites Autographs are signed on-card. Fronts have a small foil stamp noting they're the certified version. This could be especially important down the line to help collectors easily tell pack-inserted versions from through-the-mail and in-person autographs collected on base set short prints. The card back is another easy way to tell.

The large checklist includes just two redemptions: Bret Saberhagen and Dave Concepcion.

Fan Favorites Autographs combine to fall approximately two per 2013 Topps Archives Baseball hobby box. They're not the only autographs in the release though. Several big-name signers appear in the Framed 1973 Mini Autographs and 1971 Topps Greatest Moments box toppers sets. There's also the Axl Rose autograph that's on the Heavy Metal Autographs checklist.

Ryan is a former member of The Cardboard Connection Writing Staff.   His collecting origins began with winter bike rides to the corner store, tossing a couple of quarters onto the counter and peddling home with a couple packs of O-Pee-Chee hockey in his pocket. Today, he continues to build sets, go after inserts with cool technologies, chase Montreal Expos and finish off his John Jaha master collection.

It appears that it will officially kill someone at Topps to include a Colorado Rockies player in a retro autographed set.
