Wayne Gretzky Signs New Long-Term Autograph Deal with Upper Deck

Wayne Gretzky has signed a new long-term deal with Upper Deck. The agreement makes hockey's all-time points leader an exclusive for both autographed trading cards and memorabilia.

Already a trading card exclusive, Upper Deck has plans for an extensive line of high-end memorabilia from the "Great One." These include a Tegata print that features not only an autograph but a hand print as well that is surrounded by a collage of Gretzky career highlights. Upper Deck's previous Tegatas include Michael Jordan, LeBron James and Tiger Woods.

The Show is a large piece that comes with a Wayne Gretzky autograph display that measures more than two feet.

Gretzky's partnership with Upper Deck goes back to when the card maker jumped into hockey. He appeared in commercials and has long been an autograph exclusive on the trading card front.

"While Upper Deck collectors continue to get excited about pulling Gretzky autographs from our hockey card packs, puck fans can now look forward to an amazing portfolio of Wayne Gretzky autographed memorabilia as well," said Jason Masherah, president of Upper Deck, via press release.

This announcement comes on the heels of Upper Deck announcing a new deal with Hockey Canada. Other Upper Deck exclusives include Jordan, James, Woods, Landon Donovan and Rory McIlroy.
