Again taking a themed approach to the long-running series, 2021 Upper Deck X-Files Monsters of the Week Edition trading cards look to the more horror-filled elements found in the television show.

Each Hobby box averages one autograph and one additional hit that can be an autograph, sketch card or printing plate. Like most of UD's non-sport sets, it should be issued on ePack, as well.

2021 Upper Deck X-Files Monsters of the Week Base / Inserts

Similar to the initial 2019 Upper Deck X-Files UFOs and Aliens release, the base set totals 300 cards. In fact, UD revealed that 2021 Upper Deck X-Files Monsters of the Week Edition is part two of the overall 900-card base set formed with a subsequent trading card product for The X-Files.

Adding a little extra creepy to the set are the Monsters in the Attic parallels, which are glow-in-the-dark cards.

Collectors can also find several inserts sets, including Characters for some of the scariest creatures and those around them, 100 Sticker cards, The X-Files Pilot Script, which literally displays the original pilot as a 58-card set, and Earth's Most Wanted, a set designed in the style of "most wanted" posters. Providing a tough chase, The X-Files Pilot Script Short Print (SP) cards average one per case.

Upper Deck X-Files Monsters of the Week Autographs / Other Hits

Offering up some of the big names from the franchise, including Mulder (David Duchovny) and Scully (Gillian Anderson), there are several signed inserts in the 2021 Upper Deck X-Files Monsters of the Week checklist. Subjects include cast members as well as the show's producers and creators.

The main Monsters of the Week Edition autograph set keeps the Paranormal Script moniker from UFOs and Aliens, with both single and dual editions. Each Hobby box should have one autographed card.

Limited inscriptions, printing plates (1/1) and The X-Files Pilot Script Autograph (#/25) cards offer rare choices to hunt down.

There are also hand-drawn Sketch cards.
