Easy Seeing Green: Top 2012-13 Panini Flawless Basketball Sales
When Panini announced a $1,250+ basketball product, it was natural that there'd be some discussion. Well, now that 2012-13 Panini Flawless Basketball is here and had a chance to test the market, it looks like the hobby was ready for it. Or at least a small portion of it that was willing to pony up for the ultra high-end release.
And that $1,250 box? They're selling for $1,700 and up now on eBay. Those aren't asking prices, but realized sales.
In just the first week that 2012-13 Panini Flawless Basketball was on the market, nearly 100 single cards sold on eBay alone for $1,000 or more. This doesn't take into account any shop sales, private deals and group breaks. Leading the way was a one-of-one Rookie Autographs Platinum parallel of Kyrie Irving that sold for $10,000. Not surprisingly, several of the top early sales were of the young superstar.
