Stan Lee Garbage Pail Kids Print at 2014 Comikaze Expo
Comics legend Stan Lee is getting immortalized as a Garbage Pail Kid in an exclusive jumbo print card being sold at the 2014 Comikaze Expo.
Measuring 11" x14", the Smilin' STAN print costs $10 at the Comikaze Merchandise booth (#953). The comic and pop culture show, which was founded by Lee, runs October 31 to November 2 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
A second "B version" of the jumbo print will be available on Topps.com starting November 3.
Also being sold on Topps.com are a second set of Comic-Con "B" series prints. Limited to 500 copies, these have a different name than the jumbo print cards sold at shows. Among them is Bonus Jonas, a character from Peter Bagge and illustrated by Brent Engstrom for the upcoming Garbage Pail Kids comic book. Randomly inserted in these sets are variant versions of the KISS-inspired spoof Lick It UPTON that are limited to 50 copies.
This isn't the first time Lee and Topps have teamed up for the show. Last year, Lee was featured on a Mars Attacks promo card painted by Joe Jusko.
