The St. Louis Cardinals are back in the World Series again. Despite the regular shuffling of baseball rosters, the Cardinals still find ways to win consistently and will make make their second World Series appearance in three seasons. The team will look to duplicate their success from the 2011 World Series and will rely on their strong pitching staff and clutch hitting against a formidable Boston Red Sox squad.

The starting roster features some familiar names, including a good mix of seasoned stars and young talent. Two young pitchers, Michael Wacha and Shelby Miller, both made noteworthy contributions, with Shelby enjoying regular season success and Wacha dominating during the postseason.
