Overview
Few athletes have had to live under the pressure and scrutiny that Sidney Crosby has endured in his young career. When the entire NHL Entry Draft of 2005 was dubbed, “the Sidney Crosby Sweepstakes" and the press nicknames you “The Next One" you begin to understand why. Instead of wilting under that pressure, Crosby blossomed. During his rookie campaign, Crosby placed sixth in the NHL scoring ranks. Hitting his stride his sophomore year, Crosby became the youngest player and the only teenager to ever win the Art Ross Trophy as the league's scoring leader. He pulled off an award hat trick that year, also winning the Hart Memorial Trophy as the league's most valuable player and the Lester B. Pearson Award, a prestigious award where the players pick the NHL's top player. In so doing, Crosby became only the seventh player in league history to win all three awards in a single season. He was also the youngest to do so.
As a result of his early success, his cards and collectibles are among the most desirable in all of hockey. With nearly 20 rookie cards from the 2005-06 season, unopened wax boxes are a rarity and quite expensive when found. Because of his success at numerous levels, his autographs, on international items in particular, are highly coveted in the Canadian marketplace. Crosby's game used memorabilia is highly coveted by high-end collectors and command top dollar on the secondary market. Cut Signature Exemplar
Sidney Crosby Key Signature Attributes: An authentic Sidney Crosby signature will exhibit several distinguishing characteristics. Regardless of the type of item or when it was signed, look for the following signature features:
- Heavily pronounced letter "S" at a slight, right leaning angle
- A dot is almost always present, signifying the letter 'i"

It's made of a water repellant,250-gram double-knit polyester spandex fabric. Each jersey features sewn twill numbers, names, patches and team logos. They also include the NHL shield sewn on the bottom of the front collar, and the Reebok name embroidered on the back of the neck.
The Reebok Premier jersey is made of a tight weave mesh fabric and features tackle twill letters, numbers, logos and patches. The Reebok logo is embroidered and the collar is a soft rib-knit. Both jerseys are available in home, road and third jersey alternate varieties, the Premier jersey is a detailed replica of the the ones the pros wear.
