Overview
Peter Forsberg's career numbers rank him alongside many of the game's all-time greats. He is a two-time Stanley Cup Champion with the Colorado Avalanche and won multiple gold medals playing for the Swedish national team. As a result, Peter Forsberg hockey cards and autographed memorabilia have international appeal.
Drafted with the sixth overall pick by the Philadelphia Flyers in 1991, Forsberg would be part of one of the biggest trades in NHL history. He was included in a packaged deal with the Quebec Nordiques in exchange for Eric Lindros.
Forsberg's rookie card is in 1991-92 Upper Deck Hockey, which has both English and French versions.
Peter Forsberg's first autographed card was produced in 1991 as part of the Arena Draft Picks set. His first official NHL autograph is from 1996-97 Be A Player.
In 1998-99, Be A Player also issued Forsberg's first game-used memorabilia cards. He has four of them in the set: three jersey cards and one stick card. All four have print runs of 100 but are not serial numbered.
Peter Forsberg's autographed memorabilia has strong demand from the multiple markets in which he has played. Although he has been a willing in-person signer, he doesn't do many public signings. The result is a delicate balance between supply and demand that translates to steep prices.
Peter Forsberg Rookie Card Checklist
1991-92 Upper Deck Peter Forsberg RC #64
Peter Forsberg's rookie card suffers the fate of many players whose rookie cards were issued at the height of the over-production era of the hobby. Even professionally graded Mint copies see only a small increase in price. Despite the quantity available, it still remains an iconic card for NHL collectors.
1991-92 Upper Deck French Peter Forsberg RC #64
The French version of the card differs only in the language used. This is visible by the spelling of the word "Centre" on the front of the card. The biographical information on the card back is written in both French and English.

I have a Peter Forsberg rookie card in mint condition, not signed. I am wanting to sell it to a friend and didn’t know what to ask for it.
I also have a huge box of baseball, football and some basketball card and I can’t find anyone here in Colorado who deals in sports trading cards. I have over 200 or 300 cards and was wondering if anyone would be interested in buying all the cards.
Thanks,
Kim Schoneck
