Jeremy Roenick Cards, Rookie Cards and Autograph Memorabilia Guide

Overview

Jeremy Roenick is one of the most accomplished American-born hockey players of all-time. As a result, his trading cards and autographed memorabilia are important to collectors. The brash, confident and openly vocal Roenick, has maintained his presence in hockey as an analyst and color commentator for NBC Sports. His genuine desire to engage and connect with fans are at the heart of his popularity.

Jeremey Roenick was selected by the Chicago Blackhawks with the eighth overall pick in the 1988 NHL Draft. He played in his first game with the team later that year. However, it would be a couple of years before Roenick would make his hockey card debut. Jeremy Roenick has a total of nine rookie cards all of which were released in 1990-91 products. Roenick's cards fall victim to being over produced by today's standards. As a result, all of his rookie cards can be purchased for just a few dollars each. However, high-grade versions, particularly those receiving the hobby's top grade of 10 from a reputable company like PSA or BGS, do sell in the $100 range.

While every collector has their own preferred rookie card, the 1990-91 O-Pee-Chee Premier Jeremy Roenick is the popular. It is also the card that garners the most bidding when Gem Mint examples come to auction. The card is dominated by a large, in-game photograph showing Roenick in front of the goal net, a place he found himself frequently during his career.

Jeremy Roenick autographs remain in strong demand. He is a willing in-person and through-the-mail signer, leaving no shortage of autographed items available in the market. His responsibilities for NBC Sports have kept him from participating on the national autograph circuit, although he has appeared at a couple of larger signing events since his retirement from the sport in 2009.

Roenick also has an autobiography called J.R.: My Life as the Most Outspoken, Fearless, and Hard-Hitting Man in HockeyJeremy Roenick Cards, Rookie Cards and Autograph Memorabilia Guide 1.
