Overview
James Lofton's football cards and autographed memorabilia may be one of the best kept secrets in sports collectibles. Certainly under-valued, Lofton seems to get lost in the shuffle in the conversation of great wide receivers. James Lofton's rookie card is part of the 1979 Topps Football set. He is also pictured on the Packers Team Leaders card, #407. The set has the distinction of being one that was printed with two different color card backs. In addition to the regular clay stock, Lofton's cards also have what is called 'Cream Colored' backs.
Lofton's first certified autograph card is part of the 1991 Pro Line Portraits set. Collectors also place a premium on his autographed card from the 1997 Upper Deck Legends set as well. His first memorabilia card can be found in the 2000 Fleer Greats of the Game set.
James Lofton's autographed memorabilia is moderately priced for a Hall of Fame player. He is a regular participant in organized signing events, both regionally and nationally. Best remembered for his nine years with the Green Bay Packers, the majority of his autographed memorabilia, besides footballs, are Packers' helmets and jerseys.
