Early Dominique Wilkins Cards
1983-84 Star Dominique Wilkins #263
Star Company had it's brief run as the sole NBA card producer from 1983-84 to 1985-86 and Wilkins was one of several HOF players to have their first card with Star. Although they are not universally considered true rookies, a strong following exists for the first-year cards for Dominique Wilkins and other top players. The bright red border works well with the Hawks' color scheme and the image shows Wilkins completing a emphatic dunk. There is also an All-Rookies card for Wilkins (#8 of 10) from the same year that features a bright yellow border.
1986-87 Fleer Dominique Wilkins RC #121
While an open-mouthed, pre-free throw image is not the best way to showcase a dunk champion on a card, Dominique Wilkins occupies a spot on the storied 1986-87 Fleer rookie checklist. Technically in his fifth season when this "rookie" was released, ungraded card values are cheap.
1986-87 Fleer Stickers Dominique Wilkins #11
Wilkins was also included in the 1986-87 Fleer Stickers insert set and the sticker card can be found for just a few dollars.
