Anquan Boldin Cards and Autograph Memorabilia Guide

Anquan Boldin

Date of Birth: 10/3/1980
Rookie Card Year: 2003
Investment Rating: 7.5

Anquan Boldin cards are among the most overlooked in football. Despite being a record-setting receiver for the Cardinals and Ravens, most Anquan Boldin cards can still be found at very reasonable prices. While it's unlikely he'll ever be a top-tier hobby superstar, there's still a lot of room for growth for both his cards and autographed memorabilia.

Drafted by the Cardinals in 2003, Boldin was a second round pick. His 101 receptions in his first season with the team set an NFL rookie record. He did so en route to being named the 2003 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. Boldin has continued to pull in the passes, becoming the fastest player to reach 600 receptions. Now that he's a key piece of the San Francisco offense, Boldin might be ready to step out even further.

Collectors have more than 40 different Anquan Boldin rookie cards to look for, the vast majority of which can be found for less than a sandwich and a cup of coffee. Boldin has a handful of rookie cards that have jersey swatches but just three that are autographed.

The low-prices for Anquan Boldin rookie cards mean low risks for collectors. However, the Ravens  Super Bowl win in 2013 brought new interest in Boldin's cards. Playing in the shadow of Larry Fitzgerald for many years meant a low-profile in the hobby.  That could change in a hurry and lead to a surge in demand as collectors discover how reasonably priced Anquan Boldin cards are.

2003 Leaf Limited Anquan Boldin RC #147 Autograph #/150

2003 Leaf Limited Anquan Boldin

This is the most limited autographed Anquan Boldin rookie card. Serial numbered to 150 total copies, the black color scheme causes the player image to provide a striking contrast. Unfortunately, the aesthetic appeal of the card is disrupted by a sticker autograph placed directly on the photo, essentially bisecting Boldin in two.

2003 Playoff Contenders Anquan Boldin RC #146 Autograph #/524

2003 Playoff Contenders Anquan Boldin

Contenders is always a popular product for rookie cards. Designed to resemble an actual ticket, the card includes a die-cut notch on the right-hand side and position, name, and number on the left, laid out to look like row and seat information. A sticker autograph is used once again and the card is serial numbered to 524 copies.

2003 Topps Chrome Anquan Boldin RC #203

2003 Topps Chrome Anquan Boldin RC

Anquan Boldin's Topps Chrome Rookie card features a clean design and sharp photography. A collector favorite, the Topps Chrome brand has a loyal following and needs no autograph or serial numbering to make it a desirable addition to a Boldin collection.
