Andrew Luck Cards, Rookie Cards and Autographed Memorabilia Guide

Andrew Luck

Date of Birth: 9/12/1989

Rookie Card Year: 2012

Investment Rating: 9.0

Overview

The first pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, Andrew Luck is one of football's brightest prospects in some time. Despite his youth, the quarterback didn't need much time to adjust from the college game to the pros. Collectors are taking note, immediately sending Andrew Luck cards to the upper echelon of the hobby.

Playing for Stanford, Luck racked up an impressive resume of records and awards. However, a Heisman wasn't one of them. The quarterback was a two-time runner-up for the NCAA's biggest individual award, though, most notably finishing second to his friendly rival, Robert Griffin III in 2011.

Because he is such a high-profile player, Andrew Luck cards are, overall, pricey. However, there is no shortage of options for collectors. Besides rookie cards, Andrew Luck autographs are also in seemingly every 2012 football product. And even though most are relatively limited individually, collectors shouldn't have a problem coming across signed Andrew Luck cards for the foreseeable future.

2012 Panini Contenders Andrew Luck RC #201 Autograph

Andrew Luck Cards, Rookie Cards and Autographed Memorabilia Guide 1

There's a very strong chance that this will be one of the most iconic Andrew Luck rookie cards. Featuring a design that finds inspiration in the classic 1998 Playoff Contenders Rookie Ticket Autographs, it has an on-card signature. The lack of serial number doesn't seem to bother collectors either. It's also worth noting that this isn't an extreme short print in the set either.

  1. Overall, Luck has a consistent signature that is written on a level plane
  2. The signature begins with a very distinguishable letter "A"
  3. The remaining part of his first name is represented by the letter "n", which comes right off the "A"
