Starting with the 1980s cartoon, the Voltron franchise has seen several iterations over the years, leaving the Funko Pop Voltron set multiple vinyl choices to work with.
Although the Pop! Animation line saw its first Voltron figure in 2015, Funko Pop Voltron received a big update in 2018. Joining the original Voltron (#70) and convention-exclusive metallic variant from Voltron: Defender of the Universe, the rebooted Voltron is from Netflix's Voltron: Legendary Defender series. The sleeker design also offers a metallic version as an Amazon exclusive.
Funko Pop Voltron adds the key characters from the animated Team Voltron, as well, including Hunk Garrett (Yellow Paladin), Katie "Pidge" Holt (Green Paladin), Keith Kogane (Red Paladin), Lance McClain (Blue Paladin), and Princess Allura (Pink Paladin). Their leader is Takashi "Shiro" Shirogane (Black Paladin).
The pilot of Black Lion, Shiro also has a glow-in-the-dark exclusive from Hot Topic which draws attention to his prosthetic arm.
