Funko Pop The Warriors, come out to play! Over 40 years after the film's release in 1979, collectors have a vinyl selection from the Pop! Movies line.A cult classic, The Warriors follows the title gang as they make their way through a very dangerous New York City. However, the set begins via a bat-wielding Baseball Fury with face paint and a pinstriped baseball uniform that is exclusive to 2019 New York Comic Con. Naturally, he is a member of the rival Baseball Furies gang.
More figures were announced later in 2019. This includes Swan (Michael Beck), the Warriors' War Chief, holding a bat. In addition to his black pants, Swan sports the Warriors' standard maroon vest with nothing on underneath. He is joined by Cochise (David Harris), a Warriors soldier dressed in Native American elements.
The Funko Pop The Warriors set also includes Luther (David Patrick Kelly), the Warlord of the Rogues who causes problems for the Warriors. He is shown with the bottles used to create the memorable "Warriors, come out to play" scene.
Another choice is Vance (Konrad Sheehan), leader of the Punks. He wears overalls with his arms tucked inside while rocking roller skates.
This lineup still has room for many other options, including Warriors' members Ajax (James Remar), Cowboy (Tom McKitterick), Rembrandt (Marcelino Sánchez), Snow (Brian Tyler) and Vermin (Terry Michos). Although not officially with the gang at the start of the movie, Mercy (Deborah Van Valkenburgh) is a prostitute for the Orphans who joins the Warriors during their trek. She is also a worthy addition but there has been no word on additional figure waves.
