Billy Batson must only say the word "Shazam" to transform from a 14-year-old boy into the DC Comics superhero. However, collectors must still shop online or visit their local retailer to obtain the Funko Pop Shazam figures.The adult hero Shazam is played by Zachary Levi and that is the form that is captured in Funko Pop Shazam for the live-action movie. Standing in the classic superhero pose with his arms extended, Shazam's cape seems to flutter in the wind. The glow-in-the-dark variation is exclusive to Hot Topic.
Additional figures in the Pop! Heroes set cover other key characters from the 2019 film. This includes Darla, Eugene, Freddy, Mary and Pedro. Although each version is clearly different, they all strike the same basic pose as Shazam in their hero outfits.
Jumping ahead of other retailers, the initial wave of Funko Pop Shazam figures showed up in February 2019 at Hot Topic locations.
Shazam also has DC Universe comic issues from 2011. These are not easy to find and can be very expensive Pop! figures to acquire, especially the metallic version limited to only 240.
