Funko Pop Sanford and Son remembers the 1970s sitcom about a family duo that owns a junk shop in the Watts neighborhood of southern Los Angeles. Both father and son are found in the Pop! Television set.Starring Redd Foxx as Fred and Desmond Wilson as Lamont, the NBC series remains a favorite despite ending after six seasons. In fact, Foxx won the Golden Globe for Best Actor in 1973. As for the vinyl figures. the Sanford men are dressed in their standard '70s attire. The gray-haired Fred wears suspenders to hold up pants that seem to be struggling with his midsection. He also clutches his chest, likely uttering his iconic phrase: "This is the big one! You hear that, Elizabeth? I'm comin' to join you, honey."
On the other hand, Lamont Sanford brings a little style to Funko Pop Sanford and Son. His burgundy coat sits over a partially-buttoned dress shirt that displays visible chest hair. Lamont also seems somewhat perturbed at his father's latest outburst.
Although there were no plans announced for additions to the line, Aunt Esther, Bubba Bexley, Donna Harris, Grady Wilson and Rollo Lawson are all good candidates.
