Based on the 2010 comic strip created by Claire Belton and Andrew Duff, Pusheen has surged in popularity over the years, with considerable coverage taking place on social media. Other than the appeal of a cute, round cat, the various themed looks have received ample attention and are a focus of the Funko Pop Pusheen line.
For those that enjoy cat unicorns, there is the horned Pusheenicorn and Super Pusheenicorn. Pusheen merges with a Stegosaurus via the green Pusheenosaurus and pink and purple Pusheenosaurus exclusive at Hot Topic.
In addition, Pusheen Mermaid has a main version and a subtle variation at Books-A-Million that switches the tail color. The set also offers Dragonsheen holding an egg or Dragonsheen holding a gem, which is a Barnes & Noble exclusive.
